Tathmini ya Matatizo ya Kiisimu na Kimtindo katika Matini Tafsiri za Kidini: Mfano Wa Njia Salama, Walioteliwa Na Vita Kuu

Makala haya yalitathmini matatizo ya kiisimu na kimtindo katika vitabu vya kidini: Njia Salama (1977), Walioteuliwa (2009) na Vita Kuu (1952), (White). Lengo la makala hii lilikuwa kutathmini matatizo ya kiisimu na kimtindo katika matini teule na kuonyesha namna yaliathiri uelewaji na ufasiri wa mafunzo tafsiri miongoni mwa waumini wa SDA. Matatizo ya kiisimu yaliyochunguzwa yalikuwa pamoja na ya kisematiki, kisintaksia, na kimofolojia. Nayo ya kimtindo yalikuwa urudiaji, uradidi, na tofauti za kipolisemia. Utafiti huu ulitumia mbinu za kimaelezo na kitakwimu katika kukusanya na kuchanganua data. Nyanjani, sampuli tarajiwa ilikuwa washiriki 140. Kwa hivyo, viongozi 42 na waumini 98 katika makanisa saba ya SDA waliteuliwa na kutoa sampuli ya utafiti. Maktabani, vitabu teule vilisomwa na vifungu vyenye matatizo ya kiisimu na kimtindo viliainishwa, kuteuliwa na kuunda data ya utafiti. Nadharia ya skopos ilitumiwa katika utafiti huu. Nadharia ya skopos, inaeleza tafsiri kama mchakato wa tafsiri unadhamiriwa kuwa na uamilifu wa zao lenyewe na jukumu hilo hubainishwa na hadhira. Matokeo ya utafiti huu yalionyesha kuwa mikakati iliyotumiwa na watafsiri ilikumbwa na matatizo ya kiisimu na kimtindo yaliayoathiri uelewaji na ufasiri wa ujumbe tafsiri miongoni mwa wasomaji wa vitabu teule. Matatizo hayo yalisabishwa na tafsiri huru, sisisi, mkopo wa moja kwa moja, udondoshaji, unukuzi, uenyeshaji, ugenishaji, na ufidiaji uliofanya matini kuwa aidha finyu au pana. Kwa hivyo, utafiti huu ulichangia na kupanua taaluma ya tafsiri hasa namna ya kuchambua matatizo ya kiisimu na kimtindo katika matini tafsiri za kidini
