Abstract

The present scoping review examines the usefulness of leadership and mentorship initiatives in the nursing field in Africa, with a particular focus on the importance of these initiatives in improving healthcare delivery. The leadership skill to inspire teams to achieve better results is especially crucial in the case of nurses who directly affect patient care and interdisciplinary teamwork. Successful mentorship will help young nursing professionals and build confidence in themselves and their professional development. Research has suggested that mentorship programs are important in improving career satisfaction and professional growth, and provide solutions to issues of high workloads and governance gaps in nursing practice. Finally, it is necessary to promote the development of positive leadership and mentorship to break the obstacles and enhance healthcare services throughout the continent
